29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: Santec Inc./Linden, NJ- Production Area/Section #2: An electrical relocatable power tap (RPT), also known as an extension block, power bar, plug board, and by many other variations, was not installed in accordance with manufacturer's listing. A relocatable power tap was used in an industrial setting and not as intended: a) Relocatable Power Tap (RPT) was used in section 2 (on the West wall, dividing section 1 from section 2) to power a 16 gauge extension cord which provided power to additional equipment. b) Two Relocatable Power Taps (RPT) used in section 2 (by employee desk area) were powered by extension cords and also provided power to additional equipment c) Relocatable Power Tap (RPT) in section 2 (East wall, by the mixer used for solids) was powered by extension cords Violation observed on or about May 5, 2016.
