29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about May 5, 2016, employees were exposed to chemical hazards when they did not know where to find SDS or information available on an SDS. All employees pass through the latex/poly line to go to the break room. Two part chemicals (diisocyanate and other chemicals) are mixed to produce various polyurethane foam products on the latex/poly line. The employees on the saw line use spray cans of 3M Multi-Purpose adhesive and Camie 100 silicon lubricant. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
