29 CFR 1910.272(g)(1)(i): The employer did not issue a permit for entering bins, silos or tanks in the grain handling facility before the employees entered the bins, silos, or tanks: The employer is failing to protect employees from explosion, engulfment and respiratory hazards associated with entering grain bins. The most recent occurrence of this was found at the facility located at 9620 S. Railroad Ave, Bridgeport, NE 69336 where the employer has employees entering grain bins to perform maintenance and cleaning operations. Instances include but are not limited to: i. Employees entered into bin #4 to perform cleaning operations. ii. Employees entered into bin #2 to perform cleaning operations.
