29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Employees were exposed to caught by and amputation hazards associated with machines that have point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) 60 ft. ton "Pullmax" press located in Bay 7, had no barrier guard to the rear to protect employees from entry. b) the electric winch and its cable line located in Bay 5 had no guards in place and had a damaged cable.
