29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): On or about May 15, 2023, on the production floor, point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded in the following instances: a) Can Manufacturing Building: The Reed Thread Roller Machine was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to struck-by and caught between hazards. b) Press Area (Can Manufacturing Building): The Minster #4 OBI Flywheel 32 Ton Air Clutch Stamping Punch Press (1425) was not guarded at point of operation / The #7 Minster P2-30-24 (RS2037) 35-Ton Press was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards. c) Can Department: The PEXTO Roper Whitney Shear Machine was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards. d) Swiss Machine Department (Screw Machine Building): The Bridgeport Vertical Milling Machine (No. B1) was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards. e) Screw Machine Department: The CINCO-15 Centerless Grinder (Cincinnati-Milacron Model DR, serial No. 350200073-0046) 460V was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to struck-by and caught between hazards. f) Eight Wickman Screw Machines (1 ?" x 6, 5/8"-6, 1"-6) (230-460V/rev./min.1650) were not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards. g) Machinist Building: The Roll-in Saw blade was not guarded at point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards. h) Warehouse Area: The 230V 6-Ton ABEX Denison Hydraulic Press (Model #WR65L C3 4FS1 90461D/Serial #27215, P.S.I. 1450) was not guarded at the point of operation exposing employees to amputation, struck-by and caught between hazards.
