29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Hard-service cord and junior hard-service cord No. 14 and larger were repaired by splicing, which did not retain the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord that was spliced: a) On or about October 29, 2011, and at times prior, Continental Resources, Inc., as the controlling employer, did not ensure that Cyclone Drilling, Inc., a subcontractor, protected their employees from injury in that, several flexible cords located at the mud tanks had electrical tape on the outer jacket to cover splices.
