29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: (a) Repair Area - On or about December 20, 2023, an employee voluntarily wore an elastomeric respirator while they handled hazardous chemicals including, but not limited to, those found in M102-0420 such as: isobutyl acetate, ethyl acetate, propane, acetone, n-butane, toluene, butanol, cellulose nitrate, cellulose ester, butyl cellosolve, isopropanol, and n-butyl acetatein and was not medically evaluated to ensure they could safely wear the respirator.
