29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5): Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use (e.g. closet): a) The employer does not ensure each doorway that could be mistaken for an exit was marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use. This violation was observed on or about June 3, 2019, at the North Games storage area, a door with overhead projections near the door was unmarked and exposes employees to struck-by and fire hazards. b) The employer does not ensure each doorway that could be mistaken for an exit was marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use. This violation was observed on or about June 3, 2019, at the South Games storage area, a doorway covered by plywood was unmarked and exposes employees to struck-by and fire hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure each doorway that could be mistaken for an exit was marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use.
