29 CFR 1910.1096(i)(3): The employer did not post a current copy of 29 CFR 1910.1096, and a copy of the operating procedures applicable to the work conspicuously in such location(s), to ensure that employees working in or frequenting radiation areas would observe these documents on the way to or from their place of employment: FACILITY-WIDE: On or about August 29, 2013, the employer did not have a current copy of 29 CFR 1910.1096 or site-specific operating procedures for the GENDEX Expert DC x-ray machines available for employees to review. Dental hygienists and assistants take x-rays of patients as necessary during routine treatments. Employees who work in the operatories/examination rooms are exposed daily to any scatter radiation or radiation leaks in the rooms from the GENDEX Expert DC x-ray machines. In addition, the receptionist is potentially exposed due to the location of her desk in relation to the I-Cat Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging System.
