29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: The employer does not ensure that extension cords (flex wiring) are not used as a substitute for fixed wiring, at the CM Truck Beds facility, exposing employees to shock hazards. a) This violation was observed on or about March 24, 2021, where a extension cord was tip-tied to the fenced area in the robot cell area b) This violation was observed on or about March 24, 2021, where a extension cord was tip tied to parts of the structure in the caulking bay Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure that all flexible cords and/or cables are not used as a substitute for fixed wiring.
