29 CFR 1910.213(h)(4):Installation shall be in such a manner that the front end of the unit will be slightly higher than the rear, so as to cause the cutting head to return gently to the starting position when released by the operator. a. On or about February 4, 2021, employees were operating a SPEED CUT radial arm saw to cut wood boards for truss components. The return device on the saw was unhooked and did not ensure that the cutting head returned to the starting position, thereby exposing employees to an amputation hazard.
