29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about July 28, 2018 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not provide effective information and training to employees cleaning oil-based mud from a mud tank. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with contact with oil and gas hydrocarbons as well as other hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Gilsonite, ExCal, SelectChem Primary Emulsifier, SelectChem Rig Wash, SelectChem Rheology Modifier, Organotrol 2200 and SelectChem Wetting Agent.
