29 CFR 1910.335(a)(2)(i)(A): Fuse handling equipment, insulated for the circuit voltage, was not used to remove or install fuses when the fuse terminals were energized: (a) On or about March 3, 2017 an employee removed the fuses from a 440 VAC circuit supplying electrical energy to a large air compressor without the use of insulated fuse pullers. The three individual fuse terminals were not tested with an electrical meter to ensure that the circuits were deenergized prior to removing the fuses. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
