Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords was not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Hard-service cord and junior hard-service cord No. 14 and larger were not repaired if spliced so that the splice retained the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced. In the shipping department, employees operated a Skilsaw circular saw with a cut and spliced cord and used an extension cord that was spliced and hard wired into the gang box, exposing employees to electrical hazards.
