29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Facility: The employer failed to provide a training program for employees who work with and work adjacent to products containing materials including but not limited to 3M Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner (a corrosive), Kar Kraft (a corrosive), xylene, methyl acetate, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, n-butyl acetate, ethanol, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, hexamethylene-di-isocyanate, 3-isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexyl isocyanate, oligomers, and 2-butoxyethanol, on or about 8/18/15. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19
