29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(i): Wire rope sling(s) that had ten or more randomly distributed broken wires in one rope lay, or five or more broken wires in one strand in one rope lay, were not immediately removed from service: On or about October 01, 2014 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not remove from service a wire rope sling that had broken wires throughout. Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed by a falling load.
