29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iv): Monthly inspections of hoist chains, with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier of the chain which was inspected, were not performed: In the cylinder shop, the employer did not perform inspections on the hoist chains for the overhead cranes used to lift large industrial equipment, such as, but not limited to, crankshafts and cylinders, to and from prep areas and dipping tanks.
