29 CFR 1910.145(c)(3): Safety instruction sign(s) were not used where there was a need for general instructions and suggestions relative to safety measure(s): A). Vortex Recycling - On or about 4/30/12, employees were permitted to smoke throughout the facility. Signs stating NO SMOKING were not posted by the compressed gas cylinder storage areas. These areas contained oxygen and acetylene cylinders. B). Vortex Recycling - On or about 4/30/12, employees were permitted to smoke throughout the facility. Signs stating NO SMOKING were not posted by the forklift battery charging area to notify employees to not smoke in and around forklift battery charging operations.
