29 CFR 1910.184(i)(9)(iii): Snags, punctures, tears or cuts; 29 CFR 1910.184(i)(9): Removal from service. Synthetic web slings shall be immediately removed from service if any of the following conditions are present: a. On or about August 8, 2024, and at times prior, a synthetic web sling that had snags and tears was not removed from service and was in use on Extrusion Line 2 to remove a gear box. As a result, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.
