29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. Establishment - The employer used extension cords and power strips in place of permanent wiring specifically in the following locations: a. In the P&A baking area, extension cords were attached to a power strip used to power an industrial sealer and a ventilation fan. b. In the compressor room, multiple extension cords were used to power electrical monitoring equipment primarily flow rate sensors on the pipes. c. Located next to the parts storage by oven an extension cord was zip tied to raking for overhead lighting. d. In the Straight Plow fabrication area an extension cord was passed through a cage to power a second extension cord used to power a battery charger and third item. e. In the R&D development area a power strip was zip tied to column to power multiple pieces of equipment and lights on the bridgeport mill and LeBlond lathe.
