Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.107(e)(9): Flammable or combustible liquids for use in spraying operations were transferred from one container to another without both containers being effectively bonded and grounded to prevent discharge sparks of static electricity: a) Eden, Inc., Spray booth area, on or about April 20th, 2023 and times prior thereto: Employees performed spray coating of wood products with flammable liquids within the companies spray booth area. The company's container of flammable liquids (53 gallon drum of UR Clear Precat Self-S 20SH (LFC2014)) and the associated Wagner spray paint pump/container system were not grounded to prevent discharging of static electricity. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
