29 CFR 1910.213(b)(7): Feeder attachments shall have the feed rolls or other moving parts so covered or guarded as to protect the operator from hazardous points. At an establishment located at 200 Woodland Drive in Random Lake, Wisconsin: a) On or about December 20, 2022, to January 6, 2023, the Sicotte Horizontal Boring Machine (Serial Number: 904; Model: J-20) did not have guarding to prevent employee access to the pinch point created by the clamping piston(s) and the wood stock, and the sheer points created by the carriage when the machine moved horizontally during the boring process. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards of the hands and fingers created by these pinch and sheer points during production. b) On or about January 5, 2023, the Northtech Mortise Machine #197 (Model: MS-25A, S/N: 1743) was not guarded to prevent employee access to the pinch point created by the clamping piston and the wood stock. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards of the hands and fingers created by the pinch point during production. c) On or about December 30, 2022, to January 2, 2023, the Onsrud Profiler (S/N: 7825) did not have guarding to prevent employee access to the pinch points created by the clamping pistons and the wood stock. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards of the hands and fingers created by these pinch points during production. d) On or about January 9, 2023, to January 13, 2023, the Schelling Cut-to-size saw (Machine No.: 241.328) did not have guarding to prevent employee access to the pinch points created by the clamping pistons and the wood stock. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards of the hands and fingers created by these pinch points during production when clearing cut off pieces of panels from the cutting area.
