29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a. On March 12, 2021, and at times prior, between a conveyor and a dust collector for the trash area of the metal sorting line, chain and sprockets were not enclosed by a guard and were less than 7 feet above the ground. Employees were exposed to caught-by hazards from the rotating chain and sprockets. b. On or about March 12, 2021, and at times prior, at the shredder platform, a chain and sprockets for the shredder were not enclosed by a guard and were less than 7 feet above platform floor. Employees were exposed to caught-by hazards from the rotating chain and sprockets.
