29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: UTCRAS Inc., located at 501 Highland Ave. Morton, PA: a) UTCRAS, Welding shop, Building U: On or about January 21, 2021, the employer did not ensure that employees required to wear respirators such as welders did not have facial hair between the sealing surface of the respirator facepiece and the face. Employees having facial hair were wearing half face respirators, such as Miller LPR 100 with P100 filters.
