29 CFR 1917.151(h)(1): Rotating parts such as gears and pulleys located 7 feet (2.13 m) or less above working surfaces were not guarded to prevent employee contact with moving parts. a. On or about June 3, 2019 and times prior, the employer did not install a guard over pulleys on the 60 horse power auger motor on the new blenders, exposing employees to caught-in hazards. b. On or about July 24, 2019 and times prior, the employer did not install a guard around the pulley at the end of a conveyor, exposing employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards.
