29 CFR 1910.25(b)(3): The employer did not ensure that the stairs had uniform riser heights and tread depths between the landings: On or about March 15, 2018, employees were exposed to fall hazards when the riser heights and tread depths were not uniform: a. steps used to exit the platform between lines 3 and 4 had riser heights from approximately 6 to 9 1/2 inches. b. steps used to access the belt conveyors had riser heights from approximately 10 1/2 to 16 inches. c. steps used to access the belt conveyors had varying tread depths with the second and third steps approximately twice as deep as the first step. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
