29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): On or about March 17, 2016, employees were exposed to amputation hazards when the saws such as, but not limited to, the following were not guarded or were not adequately guarded: a. An employee is on the Edge Sweet EL-3 vertical saw table to align the bun and remove scrap. b. Employees in the area can access the vertical saw tables while the saws are operating c. Employees can access the horizontal saw tables while the saws are operating (Edge Sweet saw number 1) d. Employees can access the horizontal saw tables while the saws are operating (Edge Sweet 50-88PVTsaw number 2) e. Employees can access the horizontal saw tables while the saws are operating (ESCO (new saw)) No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
