29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain copies of the required material safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical in the workplace: (a) Worksite, Mechanic Shop - The employer was not maintaining a copy of the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for each hazardous chemical at the worksite. Employees who performed routine maintenance activities on vans and buses worked with hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to Permatex Battery Protector & Sealer, Product # 80370 (containing Xylene, Acetone and Ethyl Benzene); and CRC QD Electronic Cleaner, Product # 05101 (containing Naptha, Difluoroethane and Dimethylbutane); and were not provided with access to the material safety data sheets on, or about March 13, 2015. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this violation, in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19. Failure to comply may result in an additional penalty of $1,000.
