29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables were used: As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. a. On or about July 16, 2013 in the Dry Clean Area the employer had installed and was using an extension cord as a substitute for fixed wiring where the cord was attached to building surfaces with cable ties and was being used to supply power to production equipment through a relocatable power tap. b. On or about July 16, 2013 in the Compressor Room the employer used flexible cable as a substitute for fixed wiring to connect a Cissell Dryset Vacuum to a Square D electrical disconnect.
