29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There were damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action or overheating. (a)On or about May 13, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure a GFCI duplex outlet located on the woodworking production floor was not damaged. The outlet was overheating and resulted in burn marks on the faceplate to include the GFCI outlets to be inoperable. This hazard exposed employees to burn, shock and fire hazards.
