29 CFR 1910.1053(c): The employer did not ensure that no employee was exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 ug/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA: a) On April 10, 2024, at the facility, a fabricator employee performing cutting and grinding tasks on stone countertops was exposed to respirable crystalline silica at an eight-hour time-weighted average (TWA) of 77 micrograms per cubic meter, approximately 1.5 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) for respirable crystalline silica of 50 micrograms per cubic meter. Sampling was conducted for 288 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 192 minutes.
