Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a.) PJ Murphy Forest Products Corp - on or about 3/12/24, and times prior thereto: the employer was not ensuring that all portable fire extinguishers were mounted to be readily accessible to employees. The portable ABC fire extinguishers and water extinguishers were located on the floor throughout the facility. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
