29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There were damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action or overheating. (a) Mechanical cage - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer did not repair or replace the broken conduit on the floor that provided power to several equipment exposing employees to electrical hazards. (b) Coating mill - On or about January 25, 2024, the employer did not repair the PVC line supplying electrical power to lighting in the acid wash station that was damaged in several places exposing electrical wires inside exposing employees to electrical hazards.
