29 CFR 1910.307(c)(1): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location in that equipment including wall plugs, switches, lighting and associated wiring were not approved as intrinsically safe: (a)Global Harvest Foods, LLC at 103 South Broadway Avenue, Miller, SD 57362: On or about and at times prior to January 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure that wall outlets, switches, lighting and associated wiring in Class II, Division I environments in the Sunflower Cleaning Building were intrinsically safe and approved for Class II, Division I environments. This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with fire and explosion hazards. (b)Global Harvest Foods, LLC at 103 South Broadway Avenue, Miller, SD 57362: On or about and at times prior to January 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure that wall outlets, switches, lighting and associated wiring in Class II, Division I environments in the Corn Crack room were intrinsically safe and approved for Class II, Division I environments. This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with fire and explosion hazards.
