29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Facility, where flexible cords used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure included: 1. Maintenance Shop Mezzanine, where a yellow extension cord was used to supply power to the box fan. 2. Maintenance Shop, where an orange extension cord was used to supply power to the Wissota pedestal grinder. 3. Annex Section Conference Room, where a white extension cord with three outlets, daisy chained with a black flexible cord, was used to supply power to the television and speaker. 4. Mule Barn, where an orange extension cord was used to supply power to the Rigid tile cutting saw. 5. Mule Barn, where a yellow extension cord was run through the ceiling, daisy chained with a relocatable power tap and used to supply power to computer equipment and the portable Neewer ring light.
