29 CFR 1910.304(b)(3)(ii)(C)(3): Each cord set, attachment cap, plug, and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, was not visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indications of possible internal damage: Establishment - Employer failed to complete inspections of power cords to note defects in the following areas: a. The employer failed to inspect an electrical power strip with damaged insulation in the cutting edge welding booth to power a grinder, fan, extension cord, lights prior to operation. b. The employer failed to inspect a light with damaged insulation on the power cord adjacent to yellow powder coat line prior to operation.
