29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: Company: On, or about, August 23, 2022, the employer had not provided adequate lockout/tagout training to employees in that: 1. Employees who were classified as Affected Employees were not aware that they became Authorized Employees once their job duties required that they perform tasks on machines and equipment that exposed them to hazards created by energy sources such as, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic and gravity. 2. Employees who were classified as Affected Employees were not aware that maintenance/servicing tasks, including belt maintenance and change-overs required that group lockout be performed when all exposed employees apply lock on each energy isolating device.
