29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): The following items were not inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections: a. 2960 Woodbridge Ave., Edison, NJ - Production Area The employer did not ensure that overhead cranes were inspected for defects on a frequent interval. Employees and staffing agency employees engaged in the manufacture of steel building products used overhead cranes to lift heavy rolls of coiled steel on a daily basis that were not inspected at an interval (daily/weekly/monthly) that would identify deficiencies, which included strain relief for pendants, broken pendants, missing latch hooks, and control markings on pendants, that effect safe operation. Condition occurred on or about March 3, 2022
