Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii):Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: (a) PRODUCTION AREA - Employees worked adjacent to and walked through areas where mig welding operations were being performed, and the employer did not ensure that the employees were protected from the weld flash, on or about October 8, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
