Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) Departments affected by flood - On or about March 4, 2020 the employer allowed employees to turn off energized machines and equipment, unplug cord connected energized equipment and turn off circuit breakers while standing water that covered floors as a result of failure of the section of roof during a storm. Employees were allowed to walk/wade through the water where energized electrical cords and conduit on floors that contained energized conductors were located. Conduit on floor covered with water containing energized conductors was not joined in continuous lengths and junction box floor had unused openings that were not covered.
