29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about May 8, 2019, the following machinery was not properly safeguarded. 1. Whitney horizontal drill and gouge, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded. 2. Nichols horizontal drill, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded. 3. Lucas horizontal boring mill, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded. 4. Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty and Dino (Flintstone family drill, cut and shear machines) rotating chucks and toolings were not guarded along with the Dino bar stock shear was not properly guarded. 5. Automatic welding machinery rail and traversing wheel system was not guarded. 6. Davis notcher, reciprocating tooling not guarded. 7. OOYA drill press, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded 8. Wysong squaring shear, treadle pedal not guarded and material drop side with no awareness barrier guarding. 9. Spartan horizontal bandsaw, rotating metal chip auger not guarded. 10. Able horizontal bandsaw, unused portions of sawblade not guarded. Three inches inside, four inches outside. 11. Bridgeport drill press, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded. 12. Allen drill press, rotating chuck and tooling not guarded.
