29 CFR 1910.184(e)(2)(i): Hooks, rings, oblong links, pear shaped links, welds, or mechanical coupling links or other attachments did not have a rated capacity at least equal to that of the alloy steel chain with which they are used: The employer does not ensure hooks used to lift and move various sized parts are rated with for their lifting capacity. This violation was observed on or about November 15, 2017, in the thermal spray area, exposing employees to struck-by and crushing hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure hooks are rated for safe lifting capacity.
