Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 007A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1025(g)(1): Appropriate protective work clothing and equipment was not provided when employee(s) were exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators, or where the possibility of skin or eye irritation exists: 900 Jeffco Executive Drive, Imperial: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employees who are exposed to lead above the permissible exposure level of 50 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air are not provided appropriate protective work clothing. On 11/07/2017 an employee who was the "trainer" was exposed to airborne lead at twice the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air as determined by personal air sampling conducted by OSHA. The exposure level obtained was 110 micrograms of air borne lead per cubic meter of air calculated on 8-hour time weighted average basis. Sampling was conducted for 306 minutes. The employee was not provided appropriate work clothing and equipment such as, but not limited to, coveralls.
