29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(i): Each employer having an employee(s) with occupational exposure as defined by paragraph (b) of this section shall establish a written Exposure Control Plan designed to eliminate or minimize employee exposure. a. On or about February 8, 2017, employees had an occupational exposure of blood while cleaning and sanitizing the floor and machine after an employee's hand and arm was caught in a slitter machine. The employer did not have a written exposure control plan in place to eliminate or minimize employees from being exposed to bloodborne pathogen hazards.
