29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i): Selection of appropriate respirators was not based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker was exposed and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability: (a) In the sulfur dioxide department where employees were exposed to levels of sulfur dioxide of up to 49 parts per million with the potential for eye irritation the respirator provided was a half-mask type respirator which offered no eye protection.
