Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:03/24/10 Location:Back Side of Building on Roof Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by collapsing roof trusses due to inadequate bracing techniques. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement to correct this hazard is to install bracing in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the Building Component Safety Information, BCSI Edition 2008, Guide to Good Practice for Handling, Installing and Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
