Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/30/09 Location:Chicken Box Freezer Condition:The freezer door was not capable of being opened from the inside. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a panic bar on the inside of the freezer as specified in Section 8.1.2.4 of NSF/ANSI 7-2009, International Standard/American National Standard for Food Equipment: Commercial Refrigerators and Freezers.
