29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii)(A)(1): Lockout and tagout devices were not capable of withstanding the environment to which they were exposed for the maximum period of time that exposure was expected: On the kill floor, the employer is failing to ensure energy control devices are capable of withstanding environmental conditions to which they are exposed. This violation was most recently documented at the split saw platform, where the permanently attached quick link/chain (energy control device), is being used in a wet environment and exposed to corrosive chemicals in the processes.
