29 CFR 1910.252(a)(1)(ii):When the object to be welded or cut could not be moved and all the fire hazards could not be removed, guards were not used to confine the heat, sparks, and slag to protect the immovable fire hazards: a) Between Lines G and B in Plant 1 Welding Department; On or about July 31, 2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards, in that a welding screen was not provided for employees who walk by manual welding, in which sparks fly into the walkway approximately 4 feet into the walkway of the weld cells.
