29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2): The following items were not be inspected for defects at intervals as defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii) of this section or as specifically indicated, including observation during operation for any defects which might appear between regular inspections: a) Caustic room: A CM Lodestar 1 ton overhead gantry crane, Sissco ID Number 08455, used to lift a basket of products into a sodium hydroxide bath was not frequently inspected for defects. he last inspection conducted was in 12/2021, observed on or about 3/30/22. b) Caustic room: A CM Lodestar 1 ton overhead gantry crane, Sissco ID Number 08777, used to lift a basket of products into sodium hydroxide bath was not frequently inspected for defects. The last inspection conducted was in 12/2021, observed on or about 3/30/22. c) Knockout room: A Dayton 1 ton overhead cantilever wall crane, model number 3034460-1, used to lift heavy product trees during the knockout process was not frequently inspected for defects. Observed on or about 6/28/2022. d) Foundry: A CM Lodestar 1 ton overhead head gantry crane with a Blank Sissco ID tag used to lift pots of molten metal to pour into molds was not frequently inspected for defects. Observed on or about 6/28/2022. e) Foundry: A CM Lodestar 1 ton overhead gantry crane with no ID tag used to lift pots of molten metal to pour into molds was not frequently inspected for defects. Observed on or about 6/28/2022. f) Foundry - Aluminum: A Dayton 300lb overhead gantry crane with no ID tag used to lift the pot of molten metal to pour into molds was not frequently inspected for defects.
